If you haven’t seen it yet, the new Mean Girls film has just been released. It has us revisiting our favorite Plastics, both old and new, and obsessing about their looks, on and off-set. Renee Rapp and Lindsay Lohan were among the celebrities who attended the premiere of the film. Now, Amanda Seyfried’s latest makeup is the focus of all attention.
The actor was invited to a cocktail event hosted by InStyle and Lancome on January 10th, where Wednesday’s Joy Sunday was announced as the brand’s new ambassador. Seyfried was expected to wear her best cocktail dress, as she has been an ambassador for Lancome for a very long time. She did so, wearing a makeup that she says made her feel “the chicest, most radiant” version of herself.

The outfit of the actor was in line with the current librarian-chic fashion trend. The outfit featured a silky miniskirt in white and a white dress shirt under a black silky blazer. She wore sparkly pointed-toe shoes, a pocketsquare, and killer makeup.
Genevieve Herr created this look using Lancome’s products. It was the perfect way to transition from daytime to evening. Herr told Byrdie that she was inspired to create the look by Seyfried’s tuxedo. She “wanted keep the eye makeup simple and enhance Amanda’s lip color with a strong, berry-colored shade.”
Of course, the look begins with skincare. Herr advises to always prepare your skin by using a good eye cream and moisturizer. “I use Lancome’s Absolu Soft Creme and Lancome’s Absolu Eye cream.”

Herr used the Teint Idole Ultra Wear Care and Glow Foundation from the brand to create the perfect complexion for the actor. She applies it with a wet sponge to achieve sheer coverage. She added color to her cheeks after setting the powder in only the T-zone. Herr chose to use the L’Absolu Rouge Intimate Lipstick Self-Revealing instead of a blush. Seyfried says that she loves the lipstick because it is “warm and creamy.” Herr said she used the lippie to tint her cheeks because “she always [will] choose a creamy blush that will melt and blend into the skin.”
Herr created the minimal eye look of the star by using Le Crayon Eye Liner in Bronze. It is a brown shade that Herr applied to her lash line. She used nude and gold eye shadow to create a slightly smoky, shimmering look that was perfect for Seyfried.
Lips was the last step. Herr began by applying the Le Lip Liner in shade 6 – a dark, reddish color – to create a cherry mocha lip look. She then applied the L’Absolu Rouge Got Me Blushing lipstick to the actor’s lips for a deep, sultry, red look perfect for cocktail hours.
