From Casual to Couture: How to Dress Up a Gap Shirtdress Like Anne Hathaway

Anne Hathaway wore a dress that is perfect for summer. It’s a classic mall brand. Erin Walsh, a celebrity stylist who works with celebrities like Anne Hathaway, helped her look stunning in a Zac Posen shirtdress for Gap Inc. that was barely there.

Hathaway left the Bvlgari Hotel wearing a gown that featured a wide neckline, which also doubled as the dress straps. One of the straps was worn around her arm. The dress was buttoned only twice at the waist, revealing the matching Gap sheer corset that peeked through the top. This created a thigh high leg slit. The brand’s pleated shorts were layered under the dress and matched with pointed-toe pumps.

Hathaway chose Bvlgari jewels for her accessories. This included a stunning diamond necklace with a sapphire-blue center stone, an elegant silver snake wrap bracelet and matching earrings.

Hathaway had the dress made to order. According to a release, gap.com will be offering a similar dress in the near future.

Hathaway is a longtime ambassador for the jewelry brand. Who could forget the rich divorcee campaign she and Zendaya launched that spawned a thousand memes. During the event, Hathaway opened up on what it means to be associated with a brand of such historical significance.
