After posing in a crimson Carolina Herrera dress with a matching Cape on the Met Gala steps, Shakira opted for a white, after-party gown that featured cut-outs and a nod towards the viral coquette fashion trend. Shakira ended her Met Gala experience with a skin-bearing dress that gave off bridal lingerie vibes.
The “Punteria’ singer, accompanied by stars such as Penelope Cruz and Chris Hemsworth was all smiles while wearing the dramatic cutout dress. The dress was made up of just a few elements. A small bralette with sheer mesh panels connected it to the skirt and a piece of satin fabric at both front and back. Shakira’s midriff was on full display. To add drama and to show more skin, she added two hip-high slits on each side of the skirt. The front of the bra and the sides of the thigh slits were embellished with long white ribbons. This added feminine details, like lingerie, to her after-party look.
She completed her look with a chunky necklace in silver, black boots that reached the thighs, and a purse in black with a silver chain. Shakira’s beachy beauty look featured voluminous mermaid-like waves and a pale pink lip.
Her red dress, which was a nod to 2024’s Met Gala theme “Sleeping Beauties: Awakening Fashion”, also featured subtle side cuts earlier in the evening. The strapless dress featured a plunging, accentuated neckline with a blinged-out bauble on her chest. It also had a cape designed to look like a rose.
