Singla says that a sophisticated silk high-necked bow blouse or a white tailored button down with dark gray trousers and an oversized jacket are some ways to incorporate elevated basics into the workplace this season. This traditional look is great with black pumps or pointed-ankle boots in black.

He says, “A blazer will never fail you in the office.” The stylist explains that “as temperatures drop, we can start to think about layering once again.” Stolch also clarifies, “The blazers of 2023 are all about the longline, with a structured, but not too fitted silhouette.”

Singla believes that full skirts are set to make a comeback in fall 2023 if the runway presentations of Prada and Balmain are anything to go by. This sophisticated style can be worn for almost any event. Singla says, “It’s the perfect mix of feminine and flattering.” To create a chic look for work, I recommend styling the full midi skirts with a fitted cashmere sweater. You can also wear ballet flats or knee-high boots. Add a black jacket to this look to transition it from the office to happy hour.
